North Chicago Scholars, Jada Kilpatrick ’19, Neisy Rodriguez ’20 and Anahi Alcoser Bravo ’19 are currently reading Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay. They are interested in feminist issues that impact women. Body image is an important topic that affects women and young girls. In Gay’s essay, Reaching for Catharsis she addresses her personal experience with body image and the ways she did not feel comfortable in her own skin.
